PECES Second Workshop on "Pervasive Computing and Cooperative Environments in a Global Context" took place in Collaboration with the First International Joint Conference on Ambient Intelligence (AMI-10), Malaga, Spain, 10th November, 2010.
Second PECES project workshop on Pervasive Computing and Cooperative Environments in a Global Context took place in the School of Informatics (ETSI Informática) of the University of Málaga, Spain on 10th November 2010 alongside with the First International Joint Conference on Ambient Intelligence.
The workshop was chaired by Patricia Rodrigues from ETRA Research and Development, Spain and she introduced the PECES project technologies. Marcus Handte from the University of Duisberg-Essen presented a summary of PECES Technology Drivers & Ontology. Alberto Zambrano from ETRA Research and Development, Spain presented a training session on Development Tools Use where he demonstrated how to use the PECES Development tools to build applications. Alberto Zambrano also presented a live demonstration of the Smart Access Control Systems prototype application which was built using PECES middleware. Manuel Serrano from ETRA Research and Development, Spain presented the Planet Project and Zoltan Rak from FrontEnd Art Software, Hungary discussed about Pervasive Computing in eHealth domain. Finally, the workshop concluded with a round table discussion about PECES potential applications, context information, privacy and its trade-off.
